Eaton Center
The largest downtown mall in Montreal , the Eaton Center was once the home of the Canada-wide Eaton's store chain, until it was purchased by Les Ailes De La Mode and turned into a showcase for their flagship operation. There are 175 shops and stores in the Eaton Center along with 32 restaurants and a movie theatre. The entire space covers almost 300 000 square feet right in the heart of the city, and it is also accessible via the underground city.

Fairview Pointe-Claire Mall
Found in the west island just off the Trans-Canada highway, the Fairview Pointe-Claire Mall is an enormous center of commerce, with 200 stores crammed inside a 1 million square foot space. Ample parking is available, although the mall is not accessible by regular public transportation from downtown.
Jean-Talon Market
Found near the heart of Little Italy, the Jean-Talon Market is a large outdoor farmer's market combined with an Italian flavor which makes itself known on the form of Italian food vendors and Italian coffee shops. Over 70 years old and open to pedestrians only, hundreds of vendors are on site in the summer time, and move indoors during the winter. |
Atwater Market
This outdoor market combines food, produce and flowers to create a lively summer scene. Located near the Lachine canal, just south of the edge of downtown, the Atwater Market is an excellent spot to pick up farm-grown vegetables, maple syrup or honey, as well as sample many of the different locally produced foods and confections. The Atwater Market is open all year long.
