Montreal Symphony Orchestra
The Montreal Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kent Nagano, regularly stages concerts in Place Des Arts, a building devoted to all forms of artistic expression in the east of downtown. The Grammy award-winning Orchestra hosts concerts and musical events both weeknights and Sunday afternoons.

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens
This Montreal ballet organization have been performing some of the most famous ballets and musicals from around the world for over 50 years. After closing at the end of the eighties, things looked bleak for this beautiful old building. International Jazz Festival
The largest festival in a packed and enthusiastic calendar is the International Jazz festival each summer. Named in the Guiness book of records as the largest jazz festival in the world, it expects to attract 2 million jazz cats this year who will enjoy watching 3,000 different artists from 30 different countries around the globe. International des Feux Loto-Québec fireworks competition
Eight international teams of fireworks bods will light up the night sky of Montreal this year hoping to win one of the coveted Jupiter awards. The fireworks are set to music ranging from classic to techno, and can be seen from all over the city or even from cruise ships at sea.
